Mary Jane King

Mary Jane King (Janey), 49, of Caneyville, was born on September 25, 1974, Janey passed away on May 12, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness to all who knew her.

Janey was a compassionate soul who cherished her pets and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for online shopping and passion for basketball, especially for the Kentucky Wildcats and WKU women's basketball team, brought her immense happiness. Janey had a warm smile that could light up a room and a heart that knew no bounds when it came to caring for others. She was a member of Smalls Grove Church in Caneyville.

She is survived by her loving father, Henry King, and her cousin, George Horton, who will forever cherish her memory. Janey's presence will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Higgs King.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 16,2024). Visitation will be held on Wednesday (May 15,2024) from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00pm and starting again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at the Simpson Town Cemetery.
