Cathy Lynn Franks

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Cathy Lynn Franks, age 65, of Caneyville, who left us on July 16, 2025, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Cathy was born on January 24, 1960, in Leitchfield, Kentucky, to her loving parents, the late Charles Edward and Virgie (Embry) Casey.

Cathy was a vibrant spirit who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an amazing knack for bringing sweetness into the lives of those around her, often whipping up delicious candies and cookies, especially during the holidays. She also loved expressing her creativity through jewelry making, a passion that highlighted her artistic soul. Cathy was a hard worker who found purpose in staying busy, always eager to lend a hand, even as her health began to decline.

Cathy will be dearly missed by her devoted husband of 26 years, Donald Franks, and her family, including her step-son, Nathaniel Curtis Franks; her cherished four grandchildren, Andre, Elijah, Alivia Franks, and Brooklynn Nuttall; and her four great-grandchildren, Keelan and Kayson Franks, and Amari and Karmen Nuttall. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Sharon White, Lisa Johnson, Larry Casey, Barry Casey, Ronnie Casey, and Darrell Casey, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry her memory forward.

In keeping with her wishes, Cathy will be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be arranged for a later date, where family and friends will come together to honor the warmth and love that Cathy brought to all of our lives.
