Belvin Lee Beasley, a cherished husband, father, Pappy, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Caneyville, surrounded by the love of his family, on July 27, 2026. He was 82 years old. Born on September 24, 1943, in Caneyville to Lonnie and Gertha Wilson Beasley, Belvin's heart was as big as his love for life.
As he attended Zion Harmony Baptist Church, Belvin found joy in his faith, particularly in his later years. He was known for his love of Westerns, an admirable work ethic as a carpenter who traveled for work, and a passion for politics that sparked lively conversations. But above all, it was his family that held his heart; he cherished every moment spent with them.
Belvin leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Sue Bratcher Beasley, who was his steadfast partner and best friend. Together, they raised a loving family, including their son David Beasley (Leigha) and daughter Belvina Beasley Logsdon. He will be fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Brett Logsdon, Barry Beasley, Trenton Logsdon, and Tyler Logsdon, as well as seven great-grandchildren: Malachi Beasley, Easton Logsdon, Elijah Beasley, Kenzleigh Beasley, Cylas Logsdon, Gracelynn Logsdon, and Landon Logsdon.
Aside from his parents, Belvin was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Larry Logsdon, his great-granddaughter, Rebekah Beasley, and his brother, Randy Beasley. Each of these losses touched him deeply, but his love for family never wavered.
To honor Belvin's remarkable life, a funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Zion Harmony Baptist Church, where Bro. Roy Alford will officiate. His final resting place will be in Zion Harmony Cemetery, a place that held meaning for him. Family and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences during the visitation on Thursday, July 30, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Caneyville Funeral Home, and again on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service begins at the church.
As family and friends gather to celebrate the life of Belvin Beasley, we find comfort in the memories he created and the love he radiated. For those unable to attend, online condolences can be left below.
