Anita Jerry Bailey

Anita Jerry Bailey, aged 63, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2026, at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Born on April 10, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Barbara Baker and the late Jesse Davis.

Anita was a bright light in the lives of those who knew her. Known for her big heart and willingness to lend a helping hand, she found her true joy in her family. Her son, Henry Lee Davis, II (Henry's wife) daughter-in-law, Jennifer Davis and son, Russell Dewayne Davis, Sr., were her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with her eight grandchildren: Taylor Davis, Kaiden Smith, Nicholas House, Kenneth Blake House, Nathaniel Davis, Jordan Davis, Lillian Davis, and Russell Davis, Jr.; and her husband, John William Bailey.

Anita's warmth and love extended beyond her immediate family-she is also survived by her mother, Barbara Baker, her two sisters, Anna Basham and Roberta Evans, and many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory dear.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Anita's life on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Caneyville Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a cremation will take place, and Anita will later be laid to rest at Kelley Cemetery.
