Hazel aEURoeSugaraEUR Duke, age 77, of Caneyville, KY passed away Saturday, February 22nd, 2014 at the Highland Health & Rehab in Louisville. She was born on May 23rd, 1936 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mattie Hazelwood. She was a housewife and a homemaker and also a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Louisville. Hazel is survived by her husband, Jim Duke of Caneyville; two daughters and their husbands, Kim and Mike Whitehead and Jamie and Scott Harris both of Louisville; one brother, Randall Hazelwood of AZ; four sisters, Jean Brunner of Leitchfield, Patsy Ingram, Catherine Parker and Dolores Logsdon all of Louisville and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. CST at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. HazelaEUR(tm)s son-in-law, Scott Harris, will be officiating. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery in Caneyville.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. CST until time of service.The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hazel Duke memorial fund C/O the funeral home.
